![]() I'm sure there are many, many groups that are out there trying to take advantage of small YouTubers, knowing that they will not likely fight back due to fears that they may lose their channel before they've even really started. In summary, if you truly have not breached copyright, file a challenge. So either they remove their claim as soon as it's challenged, thereby saving themselves of the label of "predatory" company that will be removed from YouTube's services, or the YouTube rep I spoke with was full of it. Well, the YouTube rep says that they remove people/groups that file false claims regularly, but again, do a quick search on Orchard and you'll find false claims going back years. With three strikes and you're out, are you really gonna risk getting your first strike before you've even made a dime? After all, if you're a channel that hasn't even been monetized yet and you have no specific contact at YouTube, it IS scary to fight a claim. I was DM'ing back and forth with a YouTube rep on Twitter and I told them that I believe this group is a predatory group just filing false claims on small YouTubers in hopes that they'll be too scared to fight the claim. ![]() ![]() I fought the claim and a couple days later they dropped their claim. I just had a claim from Orchard Music Group trying to claim my live stream of the Cold War Beta because someone on their YouTube channel also streamed Cold War. ![]()
